Our services range from supplying static security guards and mobile patrols to protect business premises to providing event security and professional investigation services. We employ over 550 staff across the region in various security roles including security guards, control centre operators, event staff and dog handlers.

GSL Dardan are a member of the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) whereby we work alongside the police and community safety teams to provide a visible security presence within the community.

Applicants will ideally have a SIA licence, although this is not essential as GSL Dardan can provide full training to gain your licence, and be aged 18 or over (exception given under the Equality Act 2010). Current vacancies:

Team Leader

• Have you got experience of meeting with Clients, responding to Client requests in a timely fashion?
• Have you got a proven track record of managing difficult situations in a calm and professional manner?
• Do you have the proven ability to think on your feet, and the confidence to make decisions?
• Can you demonstrate significant experience of managing staff across multiple sites?
• Do you live in Peterborough, or reasonable commutable distance to Peterborough?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for running a portfolio of sites within the Peterborough area with duties including:
• Managing staff across multiple sites
• Carrying out regular meetings with Clients to ensure we exceed their requirements
• Maintain and write Assignment Instructions
• Carry out H&S risk assessments and manage the site files
• Assist the Rostering Supervisor in ensuring sites are covered
• Carrying out interviews and probation review meetings
• Carry out staff training and welfare visits
• Manage the personnel / disciplinary process
• Covering sites when required
• General administration duties
• Work alongside the Peterborough Team to ensure all work is completed
• Deputise for the Team Leader / Rostering Supervisor / Operations Manager as required

Being a key part of this busy team, you will have the opportunity to develop your career with the UK’s largest independent provider of private security services and systems.

The successful applicant will work 55 hours per week, be flexible with the hours of work, and be part of the On Call Duty Management Team.

You will need excellent administration and computer skills including knowledge of the Microsoft Office programmes, be great at communicating with Staff and Clients and committed to delivering operational excellence through excellent service.

Key Criteria:
• You will preferably hold a valid SIA Licence
• You will preferably have excellent knowledge and experience within the Security Industry
• You must hold a full UK driving licence, and be able to travel to Peterborough

Pay rates are negotiable depending on experience.

Aviation Security Officer - Aberdeen

Working an average of 56 hours per week and will include days, nights & weekends with a rate of pay of £7.69 per hour. Duties include booking in passengers, hand and body searches and general security related duties. You must be in possession of a current SIA licence. Aviation trained would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.

Relief Security Officer - Kings Lynn Area

Working at various assignments in the Kings Lynn area, working either days, nights & weekends, working an average of 48 hours per week with a rate of pay of £7.52 per hour. Duties are varied dependant on assignment but would be general security duties with full training given as appropriate. You must be in possession of a current SIA licence & driving licence, due to the location of some assignments you will be required to have your own personal transport.

Mobile Alarm Response Security Officers - Ipswich

Duties include using a company supplied vehicle (collected daily from our Ipswich branch) to respond to alarm activations over large areas of Suffolk/Essex, you must be highly self motivated and confident of driving long distances at both night time and day time, must be literate as involves writing of reports and hold a full UK/EU Driving licence.

Working an average of 54 hours a week including days, nights and weekends, rate of pay dependant on experience
