New events security division launched
The team includes a large number of experienced officers supported by our newly appointed Events Operations and Deployment Manager, Kerri Beck. Kerri has over seven years experience in the Event Security industry covering both front line and management. She is qualified to be able to deliver policing powers under the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme and also holds an NVQ in Crowd Safety Management.
Experienced events security consultants
GSL Dardan’s Technical Consultant Adey Ewing, himself a retired Chief Superintendent with the Norfolk Constabulary with 31 years experience has been instrumental in the development of the new division. In his previous role with Norfolk Constabulary he had specific responsibility all major public order events, football and alcohol & Entertainment licensing and represented the constabulary on the Norfolk County Council Safety Advisory Group.
Richard York, General Manager for Investigations and Events will lead the division and is confident the services will be received well within the local market place. The responsibility for the Security and Safety of customers attending events falls squarely on the shoulders of every event organiser.
The increased risk of penalties posed by non-compliance with Health and Safety Regulations within the venue and the ever increasing promotion of litigious action when a blameworthy incident occurs is a substantial risk for any organiser. Managing and mitigating that risk in order to protect profitability and reputation is vital.
By adopting a robust planning methodology GSL Dardan will deliver a tailored service to every event, whatever its size or nature and to agreed desired intentions/outcomes.
